Rutgers University was seeking to improve the efficiency of their backup runs Their current solution was inefficient, which ultimately increased the storage space required. Their IT team wanted to build the backup capabilities inhouse, improving backup runs while simultaneously reducing costs.
During our Knowledge Transfer session with Rutgers University, we realized we had to manage data at scale - with certain peak times having a high influx of data. During our collaboration, Rutgers was able to move from the traditional dump storage to a more reliant system built on full and incremental backups. A hybrid cloud data strategy was also deployed enabling Rutgers the flexibility to move backups to the cloud, should they opt for its stronger storage economic.
Rutgers experienced immediate cost-savings with increased storage efficiency. Our implementation enabled them to back up their OS and their storage spaces enabling instant device recovery in a disaster situation. Their IT Teams were thrilled on the simplicity and the support experienced during the transition.
