Sr Java Developer in Denver
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide functional and technical leadership role in developing software solutions for Digital Voice Telephony provisioning platform
- Interacting with end users to gather requirements and scope the systems
- Participating in unit, integration, and system test procedures
- Documenting final program and developing user instructions, software/hardware requirements, program input/outputs and execution/installation steps
- Providing ongoing system support by maintaining and enhancing existing software applications
- Handling multiple tasks and ensuring that tasks are being completed promptly with no or very limited direction
- Participate and help in recruiting and training new resources
- Provide Technical oversight for systems and solutions
- Developing and documenting tools to enhance application development and testing
- Involved in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects
- Complying with all established procedures and policies
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently, with minimal supervision

Primary Requirements
- BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
- Design & Architecture large business critical systems
- Developing, deploying and administering Java/J2EE applications
- Development experience in RESTFUL and SOAP web services technologies

- Familiarity with service oriented architecture
- In-depth knowledge of UNIX environment and shell scripting
- Developing performance intensive, high availability application preferably using Oracle cluster

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and create architecture for large, business-critical systems.
- Provide functional and technical leadership role in developing software solutions.
- Work closely with Project Manager/ ScrumMaster in developing the user stories.
- Participate in unit, integration, and system test procedure.
- Document final program and developing user instructions, software/hardware requirements, program input/outputs, and execution/installation steps.
- Provide ongoing system support by maintaining and enhancing existing software applications.
- Interview end users to gather requirements and scope the systems.
- Provide Technical oversight for systems and solutions.
- Lead a team of developers to achieve timely deliverables and ensure quality, while also providing supervisory functions, including performance appraisals, time off management, and coaching.
